He focuses his law practice in a variety of litigation matters, including commercial, real estate, condominium, and employment and labor. His practice also includes advising, training, and assisting businesses in their compliance with Hawai‘i law.

Education
Mr. Carmody earned his law degree from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, William S. Richardson School of Law, where he served as a Staff Editor of the Asian-Pacific Law & Policy Journal and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Immigration Law. During law school, he served as a judicial extern for Associate Justice Sabrina S. McKenna at the Hawai‘i Supreme Court and the Honorable R. Mark Browning and Honorable Catherine H. Remigio at the First Circuit Court of the State of Hawai‘i.
Prior to law school, Mr. Carmody graduated from Le Jardin Academy in Kailua and earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. While at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, he was awarded the Manoa Political Internship Program scholarship and served at the Hawai‘i State Capitol and the United States Congress. Before joining Kobayashi Sugita & Goda, LLP, Mr. Carmody worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Lisa W. Cataldo at the First Circuit Court of the State of Hawai‘i.
