Mr. Goda was admitted to the Hawaii Bar in 1970 and served as Law Clerk to Justice Masaji Marumoto of the Hawaii Supreme Court. He served as a Deputy Attorney General, State of Hawaii in the area of environmental law until 1973, when he joined and was later made a partner of the law firm of Padgett, Greeley and Marumoto. In 1975, Mr. Goda accepted an invitation to become a partner in the law firm which is today Kobayashi, Sugita & Goda. Mr. Goda’s primary focus over the recent years has been to represent foreign and domestic clients in all phases of their business activities. He practices in the areas of Real Estate & Development Law, Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Governance & Regulatory Compliance Law and Insurance Law. Having lived in Japan, Mr. Goda is fluent in the Japanese language and he has assisted clients based in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United States and Hawaii in all phases of their business endeavors.
