As a law student, Aaron was on the Law Review and was a member of the Hawaii Law and Business Organization. During law school, he received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for earning the highest grade in Legal Practice I, Legal Practice II, Second Year Seminar, and Trusts and Estates. He also received awards for Best Brief and Best Oral Argument in his appellate advocacy section.
During college, Aaron was a midfielder and forward on the varsity soccer team. In 2009, in his senior year, he earned the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Brine Award of Distinction. Aaron was also a member of the varsity track and field team where he competed in the long jump, 100m, 200m, 4x400m. Aaron spent a semester studying abroad at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. During that time, he played on the Chung Chi College tennis team.
