Michael F. Albanese
Mr.
Albanese joined
Kobayashi, Sugita & Goda in March 2011 and practices in the
firm’s
commercial litigation section.
Prior to joining the firm,
Mr. Albanese served as an Assistant District Attorney at the New York
County
District Attorney’s Office, working in the Trial Division. During that
time,
Mr. Albanese was honored by the New York City Lawyer’s Association to
receive
the Criminal Justice Public Service Fellowship Award.
Mr. Albanese received his
Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center in
2008. While in
law school, Mr. Albanese received the Pro Bono Service Project Award,
the CALI
Excellence for the Future Awards in International Law and Public Health
Law,
and was Senior Editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Law.
Mr. Albanese received a
Bachelor of Arts degree for Philosophy from Stanford University
in 2005, and a Minor in Economics. At Stanford, Mr. Albanese was a
President’s
Scholar and received interdisciplinary Honors for his thesis on the
ethical
implications of a merit-based immigration policy.
Mr.
Albanese is admitted to the New York
and
Hawaii State Bars, and licensed to practice before all state and
federal courts
in the State of Hawaii. |
