Ms. Nakahara joined
Kobayashi, Sugita & Goda in July 2007, continuing her practice
in estate planning, trust administration and probate law. Prior to joining the firm,
Ms. Nakahara worked as a trust and estates attorney for a Bay Area
firm with offices in Marin and San Francisco and most recently as a trust
officer in Hawaii.
While attending the
University of California Hastings College of the Law, she received
the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Estate Planning. She has also co-authored the
Gift and Estate Tax Chapter for the Continuing Education of the
Bar’s California Estate Planning Treatise (2002
edition).
Ms. Nakahara is a Board
Member of the Young Lawyers’ Division (YLD) of the Hawaii State Bar
Association, the Vice President of Administration for the Young
Business Council, and a Director of the Kiwanis Executive Club of
Honolulu. She also
served as the chairperson for the YLD’s Professionals for Drug Free
Kids Project in 2007.
Ms. Nakahara is a member of
the American Bar Association, the Hawaii State Bar Association, and
the California Bar Association. She is also a member of the
Probate and Estate Planning, Tax, and Elder Law Sections of the
Hawaii State Bar Association. |
