Mr. Stewart is a partner with
the law firm whose practice areas include complex commercial
litigation, commercial transactions, land use
issues, as well as administrative and governmental work.
Mr. Stewart received his Bachelor of Arts
degree in 1994, from theUniversity of
Oregon, where
he majored in Political Science. Mr. Stewart was one of only
ten members of the School of Political Science
School of to
be selected to participate in the Senior Seminar Program. In 1999, Mr. Stewart earned
his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Oregon School of Law,
in Eugene,
Oregon. While at Oregon School of
Law, Mr. Stewart received the Statement of Completion for Studies of
Intellectual Property from The University of Oregon Intellectual
Property Law Program.
Mr. Stewart joined the firm of Kobayashi,
Sugita & Goda in 1999. He has done extensive work in
litigation and contracts with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply and
City and County of Honolulu as well as the following
clients: Bank
West, City Bank, University of Hawaii, Duty Free Shoppers,
First Hawaiian Bank, Department of Hawaiian Homelands, JAC Hawaii,
Sandwich Isles Communications, Waters of Kapolei and the Damon
Estate.
He is licensed to practice law in the
State of Hawaii and in the U.S. District
Court, District of Hawaii. He is a member of the
Hawaii
State and
American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the
Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association.
He is an active member of the Hawaii
Community and is a member of the 2006 class of the Pacific Century
Fellows. Additionally,
he is a director in the Hawaii
chapter of the University of Oregon Alumni
