Christopher A. Santos
Mr. Santos joined Kobayashi,
Sugita & Goda in the fall of 2009 and practices in the firm’s
commercial
litigation section.
Mr. Santos received his
Juris Doctor degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law in
2009. While in law
school, he was a member of the
Native American Moot Court team for two years.
Mr. Santos was a recipient of the
Advocates for Public Interest Law Summer
APIL Grant for the summer of 2007.
In
addition, Mr. Santos was selected as a Fellow for the Ka Huli Ao Native
Hawaiian Law Summer Fellowship Program in 2007.
Prior to attending law
school, Mr. Santos attended the University
of Washington
in Seattle,
Washington,
where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in American Ethnic
Studies in
2005. During
college, he was an honoree
on the Dean’s List Honor Roll and was a member of the academics based
National
Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Mr. Santos was born on the island of Guam and
is a fluent native speaker of
the Chamorro language. After
moving from
Guam to Washington
State
in 1988 with his family, he attended elementary
through high school in the small, rural farming town of Adna,
Washington and graduated in 2000 from Adna High School.
Mr. Santos is a member of
the Hawaii State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Santos is
admitted to
practice before all state and federal courts in the State of Hawaii.
