Christopher Kobayashi works primarily in the areas of corporate, construction, and Sports and Entertainment law. He has counseled owners, developers, general contractors and design professionals in construction matters as well as tenants with respect to commercial leasing concerns and commercial matters including business sales and acquisitions. He has also represented clients in the sports and entertainment industry for contractual negotiation and event planning.

Education

Mr. Kobayashi received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Santa Clara University, in Santa Clara, California in 1987. He then received his Juris Doctor degree in 1990 from The Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.

Prior Employment

Following graduation from law school, Mr. Kobayashi was a foreign associate with the Hashidate Law Office in Tokyo, Japan, until joining Kobayashi, Sugita & Goda in April 1993.

Professional Associations and Licenses

Mr. Kobayashi is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Mr. Kobayashi is also a director of the East-West Center Foundation, a director of Ahahui Koa Anuenue, and a member of the Pro Bowl Committee.
